Our lives are made up of a series of significant moments.  There are highs, and there are lows.  There are moments to mourn, and moments to dance. To lose, and to gain.

Fantasy Football is a microcosm of life.  It, too, is filled with such moments that define a season.

This week represents a pinnacle of the season. This peak represents 12 managers experiencing 12 very different moments.  Some are looking back. Some are looking forward.  Some are mourning, some are rejoicing.  Some are determined and confident. Others are timid, concerned.

No matter your experience leading up to Week 1 of the playoffs, we here at T&R thank you for participating in a glorious season of highs, lows, wins, falls, and of course, the fiercest fantasy competition anywhere around.  Hats off to those who have fallen, and eyes up to those who stay in the fight.

Truly, it is YOU that make the Pellwood League the greatest fantasy football league in the world.

THIS is its podcast.

Happy Turkey Day Week to the league as we approach do-or-die time.  It’s Playoff Projection season, gents, and the competition is fierce.  Only 2 of our 12 have locked in their playoff ride, and likewise, another 2-that-shall-not-be-named have locked in their demise.

Half of the league has their eyes on the 6th spot, but it can only belong to one.  Just remember, if you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled.

For you are in Elysium, and you’re already dead.

Squish Factor™ continues to dominate the league as head-to-head matchups couldn’t be closer.  It’s a race to the playoffs, with half of the league battling for the coveted 5 and 6 holes.

Joining T&R for the first time this season is special guest Chris “1/10th point salt-in-the-wound” Windsor, whose latest winning streak makes him a viable competitor.  This short and sweet episode covers the playoff bracket, power rank considerations, and of course, BBQ.

It’s week 8 in the Pellwood league as the race to the playoffs continues.  With Squish Factor all over, at this juncture there are no guarantees.  This week we’re joined by Andy Ellwood, who leads the league in “has developed cool apps not necessarily related to Fantasy Football”, and also allegedly enjoys the SATs.

Trades are flying.  Bye weeks are bye-ing.  But will the luck of the schedule draw be in your favor? Only time (or bribery, potentially) will tell.

Look, even Betty Crocker burns a cake every now and then.

So we were wrong, ok? Wrong about everything. They say hindsight is 20/20.  Well, hindsight just got lasik.

But hey, look on the bright side.  Since we’re typically just a couple of narcissistic, self-serving panderers, actually BEING wrong usually means it went well for everyone else.  So you’re welcome.

The boys are back after a brief hiatus. We’re told by T&R PR staff that the week off was due to a producer’s mysterious illness, and that “it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that my bench nearly outscored my active roster in week 3, and that there’s nothing to see here and move along sir”.

The stakes get higher as Week 4 gets bye-i-er, and few can afford a loss.  A special guest and leader of the “oh-so-you-think-I’m-ranked-in-the-bottom-3-teams-after-the-draft” underdogs joins us to remind us of just how wrong we were, and how scared we should all be.

We’re back in our groove as the week-to-week march to glory continues.  Tonight we’re joined by our first guest of the 2018 season, and who better to kick us off than the newest member of our league?

The boys talk draft strategy, a Week 1 falter, and a strong Week 2 outlook with the man who might be more excited about the podcast than its hosts.

And because we fear for our broadcasted words to be used against us in some sort of unsanctioned White House propaganda, please note the end-user agreement our attorneys have recommended we post with this episode.

You have been weighed, and you have been measured.  Most of you have been found wanting.

It’s the much-anticipated draft grade.  Friendships will be strained, reputations tarnished, and your quantitative contribution to society reduced to a single letter, just in time for the NFL Kickoff (because who cares about Thursday Night Football?).

Editor’s Note:  T&R is committed to producing content that is both valuable and timely.  This week’s episode, recorded on Wednesday night, missed its production deadline of Thursday 7pm.  This is outside of our internal expectations at T&R, and we apologize to the many fans who were left waiting for the highest anticipated episode of the year.  In order to assure no future dips in our commitment to quality, the employee responsible for this delay has been reprimanded and placed on a growth plan with greater expectation and accountability.

It’s (almost) the episode you’ve all been waiting for! In an unprecedented move that will likely cause uproar and riot, the T&R boys present to you the Draft Report across two episodes.

In part 1, the big picture of the draft is discussed as we dissect manager tactic, moves, and blood alcohol levels on the biggest day of the year.

Though Part 2 will bring the highly anticipated “draft grades”, to appease the masses, the boys delve out manager awards that are both highly accurate and highly improvised. The are not, however, highly flattering.

Except for Charles’.
