Alright, alright, alright…it’s almost too good to be true.  Yet, it is equally good as it is true.

That’s right, the 2018 Draft is upon us.  T&R welcomes you to a brand new season as we celebrate 11 years of the league.  In this episode, we salute a departing league member and welcome a new one as we talk shop, draft, keepers, and more.

The stakes have never been higher. Nor the pressure, greater. The expectation, tantamount.  The tension, tactile.  And of course: the draft, auction.

Gentlemen, that’s why they call them “business socks”.

Gird thy loins, batten down thy hatches. Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme.  Get up now, it’s drafting time.

Better late than never, this is an episode you don’t want to miss.  The remaining four managers are vying for the championship, each with…shall we say…varying degrees of confidence.

This week on T&R features all four managers as tensions are high and the stakes are higher.  Delivered to you raw and uncut, this episode highlights the guttural, primitive existence that only the Playoff season can yield.  Also featured in this uncut episode, some moron chomping on potato chips literally the entire broadcast.

After a tumultuous final week of the season, the dust has hardly settled as we enter the 2017 Playoffs.  This, gentlemen, is it.

To those of you who have fallen, we salute you.  And by “we”, I mean those of us who still have a semblance of a soul.  So…none of us, I guess.

To those about to die, we salute you.  And by “we”, I mean those of us who are about to crush you.  And by “solute”, I mean “crush”.

Yep, it’s the playoffs.  Every man for himself.

Until the taping of this episode (more specifically, until halfway through the taping of this episode), Week 13 of the Pellwood league was set to be predictable, if not a little sleepy and quiet.  Chatter would be minimal, as most matchups would not impact the playoff bracket.

Everything would change.  Everything has changed.

*Breaking*  Sources close with wildly popular Podcast Truth & Reconciliation reported that a media intern, “Chad” (whose identity has been altered for the sake of his protection), was fired after coming forward with allegations of collusion, pandering, and “disruption of the integrity of the game” against long-time league commissioner, Peter Ellwood.

Ellwood, who commissions the Pellwood league while leading the Raymond Hessel’s Breakfast franchise, is currently ranked #2 as the league enters the final week of the regular 2017 season.

In a move reminiscent of controversial “win-at-all-costs” coach Bill Belichick, in anticipation of the 2017 playoffs, Peter Ellwood has benched his entire roster in order to undercut his week 13 matchup effort will posting a a 0-score.  If true, this would enable Raymond Hessel’s Breakfast to potentially clench the #2 spot, intentionally seeding the team into the more favorable bottom-half of the 2017 playoff bracket.  This move would potentially seed Ellwood against struggling teams Waskow/Felker, and Windsor in rounds one and two of the playoffs, arguably a much easier route to the championship compared to Chris “Chewie” Clark’s bracket and round 2 matchup between the Martin/Lorenz victor.

This unprecedented move would be the first of its kind in the PEllwood league, where no manager has ever intentionally scuttled their team ahead of the playoffs for the sake of a more favorable championship run.

The league commissioner’s 2017 season, already marred with allegations of frequent pandering, would likely suffer backlash and scrutiny from the remainder of the league.

Our source, “Chad”, indicated to this reporter that the upcoming episode of T&R, hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and popular Fantasy Football manager Seth Martin, will contain an exclusive and volatile interview with the commissioner. Known for his fierce journalism and tough questions, it is unknown if Martin’s fantasy team (Truth and Reconciliation) will face backlash from the league commissioner.

Analysts confirm, if the #2 seed is the most desirable in 2017, that it is possible for Ellwood’s submarine tactics to pay off.  There is, however, a small possibility that if Chewie’s Wookie of the Year roster were to engage in the same scuttle tactics, he could match Peter’s 0-score.  This, however, would not be enough come under the “tie-breaker” of Points For.  In order to secure the #2 spot, Chewie would have to waive the worst defense possible in order to post a -6 score on the week, thus “beating” Peter at his own game.

This reporter’s efforts to contact Chewie Clark have not yet received responses.  Intern “Chad” reports that the Week 13 episode of T&R will air on Friday, December 1.

It’s Week 12, and the pressure is mounting as the playoff picture is anything but set.  In fact, Week 12 has the potential to practically make or break the playoff chances of nearly half the league.

Tensions are high as predictions run rampant.  In this episode, Pete and Seth throw enough prophetic spaghetti on the wall that some of it is bound to stick.

But no one could have predicted this race down the stretch.  No one, perhaps, excepting the inventors of Squish Factor™ themselves.

Aaaaaaaaand we’re back!  The league is 5 weeks into the 2018 season, and T&R has some work to do.  Albeit their excuses valid, everyone has felt the absence of the weekly Pod.

With this special episode, the boys recap the season, discuss the current (and surprising) standings, unpack the recent trade flurry, and address the pandering elephant in the room.  The commissioner’s seat has never been hotter as its inhabitant simultaneously acknowledge the truth while still managing to play the victim.

The draft dust has settled and the fog of war has been lifted.  This, ladies and gentlemen, is the big one.  Your annual Draft Grade™ has arrived.

And the grades this season vary as greatly as the league managers’ post-draft recovery coping mechanisms.  Who will come out on top and, more importantly, who will be the biggest whiny-baby guest on future T&R episodes?  Time will tell.

You have been weighed and measured.  Some of you have been found…wanting.

Alright alright alright….the boys are back in town as we prepare for the league’s 10th Anniversary Season!  It’s back to the grindstone as research, spreadsheets, keepers, and auction values dominate our waking hours (and most of our sleeping hours too).

Join Pete and Seth as they kickoff the pre-draft with a walk down memory lane and a few introductory thoughts ahead of the 2017 season.

It’s a bloodbath out there, people.  I mean, cutthroat. Hide your kids, hide your wives.

This week on T&R, we’re joined by the great and powerful Chris Windsor who provides some strong insight into the state of our league.  Pete’s shameless groveling to the fantasy gods finally pays off, and Seth points out that winning matchups is apparently important.
